About

Published by txhistoryteach

I am a teacher in a small West Texas town, population around 12,000, that relies on the oil fields and new renewable energy, windmills, to provide most jobs within the county. I am originally from the city, Dallas, went to school in Abilene, a large city for west Texas, but much smaller than were I grew up, and then moved to my current location. I always considered myself a conservative growing up, both politically and morally, but have over the last view years discovered differently, especially compared to those I currently live around.

The main point of this blog is to give my view on the current world of education, inside and outside the classroom. Voice my concerns and ideas about the students that I currently teach. Maybe even give my opinion on the current state of the political world that we currently exist in.

I have no expectation of this being a beacon of light for education reform or ideas, it is just a place for me to voice my concerns about the current state of the education system as I see it.
